Water and Wastewater Treatment Industry Overview

Many of the assets used in the treatment of wastewater are outside, exposing the equipment to obvious threats to reliability such as direct exposure to the heat of the sun, moisture from the rain, and dust and other airborne particulates. Additionally, and often ignored, are the radical temperature changes that occur daily during the spring and the fall. These temperature swings can be in excess of 30˚F (15˚C), causing the oil sumps and reservoirs to breathe and ingest moisture and particulates from the atmosphere.
