Wood Products Manufacturing Industry Overview

Wood products manufacturing facilities can be some of the most difficult environments for particle contamination. Nearly all areas of the mill result in the creation of saw dust that blows through the air and settles on equipment. With many machine centers often located outside or in non-climate-controlled buildings, these machines are also often exposed to rain and humidity, not to mention process water that leads to further contamination of lubricated components. These facilities put themselves at a great disadvantage in equipment reliability and uptime if they do not have good lubrication practices in place.
